Living Proof

Clebe McClary has been recognized as one of the most outstanding motivational and inspirational speakers in America. His message of courage, determination and dedication compels others to reach beyond their limitations. While completing his 19th reconnaissance mission in Vietnam in October of 1968, Lt. Clebe McClary was critically wounded during an enemy ambush on Hill #146. Clebe's bravery and leadership under fire resulted in his being presented with the Silver Star and the Bronze Star by the President of the United States. Although Clebe suffered the traumatic loss of an eye and arm, and was later told he would never walk again, he didn't lose the will to overcome his circumstances. Clebe McClary is living proof of the promise in Romans 5:3-5 that, "...we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us...." Clebe McClary continues his service today in the Lord's Army. His life genuinely embodies the vow he took when entering the Marines: Any mission assigned will be accomplished in a superior manner, no matter what the obstacles. For him, USMC will always mean a "U. S. Marine for Christ."
