Street Cars, Light Rail and Utility Cars of St. Louis, 1899-2003

Between 1899 and 2003 St. Louis was served by almost 300 street cars and soon will have 99 Light Rail cars in operation. This book examines and analyzes the rich variety of passenger and utility car classes owned and operated by United Railways, St. Louis Public Service Company and Bi-State's MetroLink system. Rosters and statistical digests come from newly-researched material at the St. Louis Museum of Transportation's Archives and there are more than 200 photographs, most published for the first time.
