Passionate Lives Eight Autobiographical

Poetry. In her introduction to this anthology of eight chapbooks, Elizabeth Claman writes, "Each of the poets whose work is showcased in PASSIONATE LIVES is consumed by different kinds of passion. The title of this anthology grew organically from their poetry that represents in passionately charged language, lives lived with passionate intensity. Whether they write as lovers, social activists, parents, political observers, or chroniclers of family history, all record what they have experienced in deeply personal ways." The eight chapbooks represented all follow the same structure: each is introduced by a writer who is familiar with the poet's work, discussing its content, style and aesthetics, and concludes with an afterword by the individual author in which he or she discusses the concerns that were paramount during the creation of the poem cycle.
