This work contains a critical analysis from the traditional point of view of a number of currents and issues permeating the modern world and questions posed by modernism. The author sheds light, drawn from the perennial wisdom of the great traditions, upon such contentious and difficult problems as reincarnation and the true significance of astrology as well as provides an evaluation in the light of that wisdom of much that passes for mysticism and spirituality today but which deals in reality with the lower reaches of the psychic realm. The reader interested in traditional teachings and the perennial philosophy is presented here with a map with which he can navigate through the maze of confusion and distortion that constitutes so much of the mental, psychological and even religious landscape of the present day world.
