A Necessary Fire: Poems

H.H. Crane, a good friend and early supporter of Event Horizon Press, assisted with the assembly and binding of our first titles. After Mr. Crane's untimely death in 1993, several cartons of bookbinding supplies were returned to our studio and subsequently transferred to storage. They sat unopened for nearly six years until, during a housecleaning spate, the boxes were unsealed and their contents examined. We were thrilled to discover, carefully wrapped in tissue, 38 press signature sets for A Necessary Fire, plus ten copies hardbound by hand. This exclusive work, designed by Joseph Cowles and imprinted using the laser technology popular at the time, will delight collectors of Event Horizon Press books. The 38 signature sets have been hand assembled and perfect bound in tan railroad board.
