4to, stiff pictorial wrappers. xiv+236 pp, 214 illustrations (26 in color) + 2 text figures and portraits of the collectors; title index. Included in the collection are a number of "in the style of" and "attributed to" works, including "Girl With Blue Ribbon", which since the late 1950s has been recognized as a Vermeer forgery by Han van Meegeren. The painting was included in the exhibition "Intent to Deceive: Fakes and Forgeries in the Art World", which circulated to four American museums during 2014.
