The Local takes us through the pubs of London on the eve of the Second World War. With Edward Ardizzone and Maurice Gorham as our guides, we experience a vanished world of tin whistle musicians, Jug-and-Bottle and Ladies' Bars, games of dominoes, pints of mother-in-law and wallop.
