The Court of Oliver Cromwell

Until now no attempt has been made to determine either the essential form and structure of the protectoral court, or the extent to which it resembled the royal courts which preceeded it. This study fills the gap in our knowledge of the period of the English Revolution by collating the largely uninvestigated scatter allusions which survive on this fascinating subject.
