Unfinished Business

Collection of texts and addresses presented at the Unfinished Business Conference, in Melbourne in June 2002 to honour the memory of Eddie Mabo and to discuss persistent issues relating to indigenous Australia's ten years after the Mabo decision. Presented in six parts - land and sea justice, talking treaty, comments from Federal politicians, race, identity and power, journey of healing and vision for the future. Contributors include Fred Chaney, Geoff Clark, Simon Crean, Lilian Holt, Jackie Huggins and Audrey Ngingali Kinnear. Includes panel discussion, small group comments, contributor notes and photos. Rickard is Executive Director of the Commission for Mission within the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria and Tasmania. Ross is Victorian State Director of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress.
