The Oldest Books In The World

It's therefor most valuable and interesting for all advanced modern thinkers to ascertain the ideas set forth in the archaic Egyptian writings, for in them are the oldest thoughts and also the oldest books in our world. We use this latter assertion advisedly as more especially relating to writings done with the brush or the reed, or some other kind of pen, on papyrus, linen, skins or parchment, and even on pottery and stone, as against engravings or cuttings, incised or in relief, on wood and rocks, stones or other hard material, or incised work on fresh terra cotta clay afterwards baked by fire into hard pottery, such as are the usual cuneiform tablets found in Mesopotamia.
