Building Continual Improvement

"I'm not in manufacturing. How can I use SPC?"While this question has been asked by many, only a few have attempted to provide an answer. One immediate barrier that exists for those outside manufacturing is the very terminology itself. Statistical Process Control just doesn't sound like something that is needed in business. However, this barrier begins to disappear when one replaces the term "SPC" with the more descriptive phrase "the concepts and techniques of Continual Improvement." This book is our attempt to show some of the many different ways that the principles and techniques of Continual Improvement may be used in nonmanufacturing environments.
