Hardboot: New & Old Poems

These new and selected poems demonstrate the importance of place to Shipley's work. Hardboot is a name given to Kentuckians at race tracks all over the country because they are like an old tough shoe that has been molded to fit only one foot. Wherever they may be, people from Kentucky call only that state "home."
