John Jopes was the editor of the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin in Southern California. Along the way he encountered people from all walks of life that either passed through or made the Inland Valley their home. Most of them went about seemingly ordinary lives - working hard, raising children, experiencing successes and failures, some abiding by the law, some not. In one way or another, they all made an impact. This book is about their lives and a celebration of the human spirit.
