Women's Voices on the Pacific: The International Pacific Policy Congress

In the opening weeks of 1991, members of Women for Mutual Security traveled to Baghdad to confer with Iraqi women, met on the South Pacific Island of Vanuatu to discuss the crisis-level intrusion of the industrialized West into the South Pacific, and organized women in the Philippines to oppose the continuation of U.S. military bases there. These essays promote a feminist agenda for world policies. Includes prominent women leaders from the South Pacific as well as from the East and West.
