Now Becoming Then

This retrospective look at Duane Michals ouevre by the esteemed writer Max Kozloff is the first major critical evaluation of the artist's contribution to the history of photography. Many of Duane Michals' early sequences and portraits are published here as well as previously unpublished new work. This publication accompanied a three year traveling museum exhibition which opened December 11, 1990 at San Diego's Museum of Photographic Art.
