Growing Up Sane: The Tragic Irony

The intention of this book is to explore the paradoxical nature of traditional education and childrearing to see if, in the name of raising healthy children, we are actually destroying them in the process. This book looks at our social institutions, the structures we have created in society that mold behavior, to see what influence they have had in the growth of the young person, and to see if these structures have ironically brought about global violence under the guise of peace. Going beyond these structures this book delves into the roots of our discontent to look at the fundamental source of conflict, the paradoxical knot with the psyche itself - to examine the 'myth of the individual.'
