This was a catalog made to accompany an exhibit of art from the collection of Janette Faulkner at the Berkeley Art Center, September 12 - November 14, 1982. Faulkner's collection "reflects the persistent use of caricature as an art form designed to support a theory of racial inferiority." The book includes essays by Faulkner, Robbin Henderson, Leon R. Litwack, and Erskine Peters. Many photographic images from the collection. Catalog entries for each image at the back. Images extend back as far as 200 years.
