Prairie Wind, Blow Me Back is an imaginative but yet realistic treatment of the experience of one family which left Norway to settle on the South Dakota prairie. The author wasnt there, of course, but with care and rare insight she fashions a story which might well have been played out exactly as she writes it. The people are human, Nordic and natural. They behave as immigrants must have. Their joys and sorrows, their defeats and their triumphs are pictured with believable care.
