Farther Along

At the age of sixteen Lucinda Harmon met Dr. Jason McCall and knew that she would love him as long as she lived. She allowed others to push her into a path she didn't want; marriage to Jeff Marshall. She had a son but lived in misery for 20 years. In the meantime Dr. McCall had also married and had a daughter, but he too, never forgot Lucinda Harmon, now Lucinda Marshall. When sickness caused the death of Jason's wife and an accident caused the death of Lucinda's husband they still waited three years before they met again. Lucinda still had the feeling that this doctor was so much above her station in life that the barrier was to great to surpass. Dr. McCall had a different purpose in mind when he returned.
