Sextet One

Each of the poets whose work appears in this volume is a poet truly concerned with the world, with relationships that are made manifest in daily life, with the sweep of history and the difficulties of survival. Each poet speaks of love and rage, hurt and healing, moving out of the haze of a self-referential universe and into one that is clear; where involvement and responsibility have their places and where the human spirit can find its place. If it is the function of poetry to inspire while opening the windows of the world to the eyes and hearts of its readers, then this collection will satisfy.
