To supply the need for "practical designs for those who build" the editors of CARPENTRY AND BUILDING magazine commissioned a series of "Artistic Modern Dwellings." They invited architects across the country to submit their best homes. They photographed them and prepared specifications, plans, elevations, woodwork and construction details, and building cost estimates.
