The Brannan Saga: Early Calistoga

Kay Archuleta's "The Brannan Saga" is boh more and less than its title claims. It is not a biography of Brannan, but it is beautifully made and warmly written love affair with the "upper valley" beneath Mt. St. Helena. It is studded with anecdotes and vignettes of the places and people of the Hot Springs country, and the illustrations are excellent. Any love of or visitor to the Napa Valley will benefit from and enjoy this work.
