Untangling Japanese II: Beginning Japanese

The second volume of revised edition of: Untangling Nihongo - Beginning Japanese. Untangling Japanese I, II, and III - Beginning Japanese are books of basic, everyday Japanese designed so that the English speaking public may learn step by step. If you can read your ABCs in the first lesson, you will be writing friendly letters in Japanese by the end of the third volume(Lesson 30). They can also be used as a quick reference to find out what's and how's in Japanese through glossaries and indices. New features in the revised edition include: (i) two tricks for responding in Japanese, (ii) sentences and words which have voice transcription in three audio tapes are clearly marked so that following the text with the tape is easy, (iii) the text is divided into three volumes in accordance with the tapes, and (iv) the text is written by a laser writer for easy reading. The materials covered in the second volume covers:(1) the tenth difference, (2) two more simple sentence patterns and one variation, (3) adjectives, adverbs, introductory verb conjugation and more particles, (4) katakana, (5) time, direction, colors, counting, etc., and (6) 99 everyday phrases.
