Learning Journeys

Learning Journeys presents interesting and informative lessons about the people, foods, customs, games and crafts of other lands while students learn skills in reading, writing, math, and research.Each set of Reading skill pages includes a story page followed by six questions for students to answer. Writing space is included on the page.The Writing activity contains information about a food associated with the country and directions to complete a motivating task relating the writing activity to the food.Each set of Math skill pages includes background or directions about a game or craft particular to the country plus a math drill and practice page in a motivating format.When the students complete the unit on a country, they will have worked on improving skills in reading, research, writing, and math while learning about life in other parts of the world.
