… In 1855, MONTANA TERRITORY ... While pur-sued by a mountain cliff-side vengeful war party of Blackfeet, a Lakota boy collides with a mountain man, Joshua Donnor, on the side of a mountain. The trapper is blinded and the Lakota injures his foot. The two adversaries form a pact to survive: Joshua carries the Lakota boy on his back and in turn, he becomes the mountain man’s eyes. Together, on a snow-covered mountain, they search for a means to escape. The story also tells of a love so enduring that a Lakota woman risks everything to save the life of Joshua.
