Despite the publication of books purporting to tell the player how to `slay` the Dragon, the variation remains a popular and viable tournament weapon. The authors of this study have brought published theory up to date with a comprehensive collection of analysis and games. The book contains 160 complete games and 220 other game citations which extend into the middle game. Most of the examples date from the last six years to illustrate current tournament praxis, including correspondence play. This is an invaluable tool for the player who wishes to contest either side of this fluid variation.
