Sermon collections are tricky. A good sermon is made for the ear, no the eye. What works in the context of a worship service often does not translate to the written page. Far more than an essay, or even a lecture, a sermon is a dialogue, incomplete without the unspoken response of a congregation, especially one who knows its minister well.
