Behaviors, Beliefs & Emotions: Doctor-Patient Relationships in Behavioral Optometry

A basic tenet shared by behavioral optometrists is that symptoms and the processes which create them are not the same. Consequently, a major challenge for us is the need to unravel the dynamics in our patients' lives and to understand how they respond to stressors. It is often those responses which trigger their symptoms and difficulties. This book explores the dynamics that trigger symptoms in patients and demonstrates how, with an understanding of these issues, we can guide patients to personal insight and improved vision.
