Airplane Driver

AIRPLANE DRIVER is a humorous look at the experiences of a heavy-bomber pilot during World War II. A small-town boy decides that flying is better than walking so signs up for the Army Air Corps at the beginning of World War II. AIRPLANE DRIVER takes the reader through his induction, training, combat in the South Pacific, and his return stateside to become an instructor pilot. This tale does not look at heroics, battles or tactics, but rather the funny and sometimes ludicrous side of an airman's life.
