The Watered Garden

At 17 years of age, Blanche Greene answered God's call to missions. Twelve years later, after health problems put on hold her dream of serving overseas, she found a new mission field--as the wife of 49-year-old widower Eugene Jarvis and mother to his six children. Despite age and educational differences, Blanche and Eugene united in their commitment to God, each other, and their children, who included their daughter, Jean. Through the daily grind of running a large household during the Great Depression and World War II, Blanche's constant prayer was to bear spiritual fruit among her family members.
