Putting Transfer of Development Rights to Work in California

A pioneering method to achieve various land use goals is a technique know as "transfer of development rights." In this book the author describes how TDRs can be used to protect open space and agricultural land, as well as natural resources and areas of historic value, by formally and legally transferring the development rights of these sites to other sites.
