Soft cover, large format (9"x12"), 88 pages with approximately 5 pages of text, 50+ photos (mostly previously unpublished and in operational settings), 20+ exquisite, computer-assisted, full-page line drawings, 8 pages of color artwork. The first of two planned volumes, this volume covers the first and second production series Sd. Kfz. 166's, as well as the retrofitted first production series models. In addition to the technical information, there is also a section concerning Strumpanzer-Abteilung 216, which was primarily equipped with the early version of the Brummbär and saw its baptism of fire on the battlefield at Kursk as part of schweres Panzerjäger-Regiment 656.
