Wilders of Waikiki

That once famous landmark of the Wilders of waikiki disappeared forever at fout o'clock, February 26th, 1969, with the ground-breaking ceremonies for the new Sheraton-Waikiki Hotel. It now stands on what were once the Crown Lands of Kamehameha the Great. Of the trees planted by every member of the family, not one is left standing; not even the Kamani tree, sacred to Kinau, daughter of Kamehameha 1 and mother of the last two Kings of the Kamehameha Dynasty. Nothing remains but the memories of that era which had beauty, simplicity, charm, romance, excitment, revolutions and NO traffic jams.
