Explosives in History (Industry in America Series)

This booklet was produced by the Hagley Museum of Delaware, with reference to the DuPont family and the manufacture of black powder (gunpowder). The use of this in early America, the revolution, in the war of 1812, the Mexican War, the Civil War and later are reviewed, and developments leading to new forms of gunpowder and other explosives are discussed. Illustrated with photographs and drawings.
