Likely Stories: A Collection of Untraditional Fiction

This 1981 anthology of six long stories, novellas, and extracts from novels provides a valuable overview of contemporary fiction by some of today's most adventurous writers. It is an especially useful text on post-Modern fiction for college courses, and a good sampling of quite a few books which subsequently appeared from McPherson & Company. The pieces included here are: "Snow" by Ascher/Straus; "The Sale of What Remains" by Frederick Ted Castle, from his novel, Anticipation; "Brothers of the Tiger" by Emilio De Grazia; "Oh Brother" by J. Eigo; "Russian Tales" by Robert Kelly, from his out-of-print collection, Cat Scratch Fever; and "Sheep" by Pamela Zoline, from her collection, The Heat Death of the Universe and Other Stories.
