In the Temple
Description:
The cycle of the years among the ancient peoples was always considered to be a symbol of life of man or, indeed, of the life of the universe. Birth, at the Winter Solstice, Adolescence at the Spring Equinox, full blown strength and power at the Summer Solstice, and the closing with the Autumnal Equinox, the period of the Great Passing. This cycle of the years symbolises the training in the spiritual life -- G de Purucker. In the Wisdom Traditions, the solstices and equinoxes, the four seasonal points, are scared times that link us to the Universal Life. All cultures in ancient times venerated these seasonal transformations. Drawing from Egyptian, Buddhist, Taoist, and Druid teachings, de Purucker gives commentary on the inner meaning elaborating the esoteric depth of these sacred teachings.
