Blessed Andre of Mount Royal

When he died in 1937, at age 92, his long life was the least of countless miracles attributed to Brother Andre of Montreal, the former Alfred Bessette. Today he is Blessed Andre, beatified in 1982 by Pope John Paul II before a throng of pilgrims in St. Peter's Square. This acclaimed biography, assembled from the same documents and eyewitness testimony later used by the Vatican to examine his cause, was written when many of those who knew him were still alive.
