Description:
This volume is a modern critical description of Himalayan Cambrian trilobites. Old and new taxa are dealt with from India and Pakistan, and computer-graphic restorations are given for many forms that are found deformed in a region that has long been tectonically active. Such restorations have enabled the authors to better characterize and discriminate species than was possible previously. They show that, palaeographically, the Himalayas has a close relationship with South-Western China, where similar and closely-related taxa occur. Such faunal evidence helps to illustrate tectonic models and Himalayan evolution.
