This book has been written for the sole purpose of inviting the reader to learn to cultivate the inner garden....The most engaging and mysterious part of all this is that we do not cultivate alone.

We are blessed beyond comprehension. For whatever tools we have been given, whatever soil we have inherited or whatever advice we have received we work along side the Creator of the universe.

Of all the myriads of statements that we could make about God, I still love the simple declaration of Jesus: "My Father is the gardener." I not only long to cooperate with His plan and purpose for my garden, but I passionately want to know Him. Apart from Him my garden is but a patch of weeds.
