The Essential Texas Fiddle (Set): Improvisation, Harmony, and Style

Texas fiddle is one of the last regional fiddle traditions in the United States. The elements of that sound—improvisation, harmony, and indvidual style—are recorded here in standard musical notation and on audiocassette that features Joe Stephenson.Each of the 17 tunes is introduced through a series of arrangements that vary in degree of complexity. The first part presents solo Texas fiddle arrangements, and the second part presents twin Texas fiddle duet arrangements.
