Travel North Carolina : Going Native in the Old North State
Description:
Several years ago, the staff of John F. Blair, Publisher, discussed the need to have a comprehensive travel guide to North Carolina that was researched and written by people who truly knew the state. We also felt that more than one editor was needed to do justice to such a large and diverse state. In the spring of 2001, Blair released the first edition of Travel North Carolina, which was edited by six staff members who had worked with Blair's travel books for years.
With this new edition, Blair's staff returns with a completely updated version of this guide. The book covers the entire state, unlike some guides that focus only on specific cities or regions. In addition to general information about each area, the book offers recommendations on scenic attractions, cultural events, recreational activities, places to stay, and places to eat. The authors offer a variety of price levels and styles for their restaurant and accommodation suggestions. No monetary incentive was accepted for inclusion in this book-the entries were chosen completely at the discretion of the author of each section.
If you can purchase only one travel guide to North Carolina, why not buy the one that is written by North Carolina residents and published by a North Carolina publisher?
