Volume 2, Part A, of Intermountain Flora, treating Cronquist’s subclasses Magnoliidae, Hamamelididae, and Caryophyllidae, concludes the taxonomic treatments for the series. Treated in this, the eighth part, are 31 families, 147 genera, 611 species, and 301 varieties. Volume 2A has been written by Noel H. Holmgren, Patricia K. Holmgren, James L.
