Counseling Families: An Introduction to Marriage and Family Therapy

In actual practice, much of marital and family therapy is delivered, and will continue to be delivered, by counselors who are trained primarily in individual and group therapies. We believe that all therapists should be prepared as fully as possible to provide effective treatment to couples and families. In Counseling Families we attempt to provide the reader with information about how the basic core skills that are necessary, but not sufficient, to perform individual and group therapy may be used to counsel couples and families.
