Orphans on the Guadalupe is a heart-warming and true to life story of Texas during the early days of statehood. Among colonist from Germany who settled along the picturesque Guadalupe River were nineteen orphans and and an Evangelical pastor and his wife who became their parents after a tragic epidemic struck their pioneer emigrants shortly after arriving from Europe.
