The Church and Contemporary Cosmology: Proceedings of a Consultation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

In December of 1981 the Presbytery of Mackinac adopted an Overture to the 194th General Assembly of the PCUSA calling upon it "to initiate a study of the role of cosmology in the Bible and in the traditional doctrinal formulations of the church, the changes in cosmology as the result of the rise of science, and the theological significance of contemporary cosmological positions for traditional doctrinal affirmations."
