Explore: A Course in Literature; Student Textbook (American Literature)

This course in American literature was designed for the struggling or remedial high school student, but is still closely aligned to a standard high school textbook. Seven chapters are divided into: Forging America's Literary Tradition; The Inspiration of New England, Local Color in America; The Harvest of Realism; American Literature Comes of Age; Moving into Modern Times; and Contemporary American Literature with authors such as Lucille Clifton, Mary Corey, Dave Barry, and Alice Steinbach.
