Navajo Place Names: An Observer's Guide

It is well known that the Navajo name rocks, trees, creeks, canyons, and, in general, almost every spot. This observer's guide and the collection of the most widely known and used names in Navajo coversations and discourse was compiled and written by Alan Wilson, formerly Professor of Navajo language at the Gallup Branch, University of New Mexico.The place names in the book are arranged in alphabetical order, non-Navajo names first.
