Description:
Here is the sparkling story of Larry Tomczak, a Polish Catholic kid who grew up in Cleveland's parochial school system and pounded his way to local fame as the drummer for a mid-sixties, Beatles-style rock group called "The Lost Souls". Later his ascending star carried him upward to the post of student body president of Cleveland State University. He also became the first student member of the University's Board of Trustees, but not before he found himself sitting in the middle of a storefront church in Cleveland's ghetto, feeling very out of place. His internal ice began to melt that day when the lady next to him, sensing his awkwardness, turned her smiling black face to him and said, "C'mon, honey, clap those hands!"
