This superb book provides functions that are not part of the standard C library and outlines three classes of functions that enhance usage. The first class draws on resources provided as part of MS DOS, e.g. interrupt calls to the operating system. The second class is based on known elements of PC hardware. The third class is generic. These programs and functions should be portable to virtually any machine. Poor editing distracts from what is otherwise an excellent book.
