As was demonstrated in the Gulf Conflict in 1992, it is now inconceivable that international-scale warfare can be fought, or won, without recourse to the airborne weaponry of the day. On an accelerating graph of evolution the "new" age of aviation has increasingly taken military strategy into the air, to a point where, as seen in the Gulf War, airborne weapons can be deployed - from a distance - with the clinical accuracy of a short range sniper of the past.
